Request for Information (RFIs)

The following RFIs have been issued to give interested parties the opportunity to help the State better understand marketplaces and/or specific subject matter.  All RFIs are non-binding and no award shall be made as a result of the RFI process.

NOTICE
Beginning October 2025, all solicitations will be posted through
Vendor Self Service (VSS)!

What is VSS?
Vendor Self Service is the public-facing portal of the State’s CGI Advantage ERP system, which:

• Is already in use for Request for Quotations (RFQ) solicitations and contract management
• Will now be used to manage all other solicitations: Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Applications (RFA), Request for Information (RFI), and Pre-Qualified Vendor Lists (PQVLs)

What Vendors Can do on VSS:

• Register for notifications
• View active solicitations
• Submit questions
• Respond directly to solicitations

This means:

• No more OSPS website postings for these documents
• No more proposal submissions to proposals@maine.gov

Training and Support:

• The Office of State Procurement Services will publish a guide and training video for responding to these solicitations ahead of this transition.
• Vendors are encouraged to Register in VSS now to streamline the response process following the transition.

IMPORTANT: All solicitations posted to Maine.gov prior to the October transition date will continue with the current process. New solicitations posted after the October transition date will be available in VSS only.
