Do I need board permission to sit for the MFT Examination?
Yes -before applying for licensure, candidates are required to apply to sit for the MFT examination. If you are applying by Endorsement, you must use the Endorsement application to apply for the examination approval and licensure at the same time. If you are applying without holding a comparable license in another state, you must use the Standard application for the examination approval and licensure at the same time. You will be required to pass the examination prior to the license being issued.
