The staff of the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation
The Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board was established to ensure that qualified applicants for licensure of administrators meet the necessary standards to be qualified and responsible for the general administration of a facility other than a hospital.
The primary responsibilities of the Board is to examine and license qualified applicants for licensure by ensuring that minimum core competency standards for general administration of a nursing home facility have been met, to revoke or to refuse to renew any licenses after proper notice and hearing.
Effective March 1, 2019, the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) will no longer issue paper license verifications. License verifications are available, free of charge, on OPOR’s official database, https://www.pfr.maine.gov/ALMSOnline/ALMSQuery/Welcome.aspx?board=4290. This database is updated in real time as changes occur. The Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation considers this information to be a secure, primary source for license verification.
Future correspondence from the Nursing Home Administrators Licensing Board will be sent to you by email, so please be sure to keep your contact information current. Follow this link to verify your contact information.
