Updated Guidance and Retiring of Covid-19 Prevention Checklists-5/26/21
The Manufactured Housing Board was established to ensure that manufactured housing is safe from hazardous defects, provide uniform performance standards for construction and installation of manufactured housing, and provide a safe and sanitary environment for occupants residing in mobile home communities.
The primary responsibilities of the board are to examine and license qualified applicants, to promulgate rules defining the qualifications and professional standards of manufacturers, dealers and installers of manufactured housing, to investigate complaints against its licensees, and to take appropriate disciplinary action against noncompliance with its statute and rules.

Effective March 1, 2019, the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) will no longer issue paper license verifications. License verifications are available, free of charge, on OPOR’s official database, https://www.pfr.maine.gov/ALMSOnline/ALMSQuery/Welcome.aspx?board=4360. This database is updated in real time as changes occur. The Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation considers this information to be a secure, primary source for license verification.

EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 25, 2019:
The Manufactured Housing Program is pleased to announce fee decreases per FEE RULE 25: Label fees have been decreased from $150 per Label to $110, as well as the removal of the $100 Application fee for Community License Applications. We continue to work diligently to decrease as many fees as possible.

Manufactured Housing licenses are now delivered to licensees via email. The email sender is displayed as “email@example.com” and the subject as “YOUR OFFICIAL (license type) LICENSE IS ATTACHED”. Paper licenses will NOT be mailed to licensees with an email address on file with the Board.
