Intern Forester Licensing Questions

Do I need to take an exam?

No. An exam is not required prior to licensure as an Intern Forester.

Do I need to complete continuing education?

You are not required to complete the continuing education for your first year renewal.Thereafter you must complete 6 hours of continuing education during each license term before renewing your license annually. A minimum of 4 of the 6 hours must be from Category One.

What if I change jobs and lose my sponsor?

If your sponsor resigns without making arrangements for a replacement to supervise you, you must arrange for a replacement within thirty days of your sponsor's resignation and notify the Board in writing.

Is my application confidential?

No. With the exception of Social Security Number, all application information is public. Contact information provided to the Board is posted on our website.
