State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers

The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers protects the safety and property of the public through the regulation of the practice of engineering in Maine. The Board is supported by license fees and receives no general fund tax dollars.

  • MEETING: The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers will hold a Board Meeting on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 9:00am in room 209-B of the Augusta Armory, 179 Western Avenue, Augusta, ME 04330. Board meetings are open to the public. Agenda
  • RULEMAKING ADOPTION: 02-322 CMR Ch. 5, Application and Licensure Fees has been repealed and replaced. The new Chapter 5 takes effect on September 8, 2019. The Board adopted the rule at its meeting on August 8, 2019. A public hearing was held on July 18, 2019 with public comment open until July 29.
  • STATUTE: LD1791 An Act to Amend Licensure for Professional Engineers, was signed by Governor Mills on June 18, 2019, and will take effect September 19, 2019. Engrossed LD 1791
