State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers

The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers protects the safety and property of the public through the regulation of the practice of engineering in Maine. The Board is supported by license fees and receives no general fund tax dollars.


  • All active Maine PE licenses expire December 31, 2019. 30 hours of professional development are required to renew licensure.
  • Late renewal fee beginning April 1 is USD $105. Renewal must include a completed PDH Activity Log and documentation of 30 hours of professional development. 2018 LATE RENEWAL FORM
