Scam Alert
October 3, 2024. The Maine Bureau of Consumer Credit Protection’s phone number, (207) 624-8527, has been used in some spoofing and phishing scams in the last several days. For more information, CLICK HERE.
NMLS License Renewals
The NMLS annual renewal period is now in progress and will continue through Dec. 31. Here are some helpful reminders as you complete the renewal process:
- Your company’s NMLS record must be up to date and all state-specific requirements must be met before submitting your renewal request. Refer to the Annual Renewal page (Trusted Partner Link) of the NMLS Resource Center for a list of state regulator renewal deadlines, renewal fees and state-specific requirements.
- A free, online renewal training course (Trusted Partner Link) is available to help guide you through the renewal process.
Reminder: NMLS will automatically terminate unrenewed licenses that are not eligible for reinstatement after Dec. 31. State agencies set reinstatement eligibility for each license type. Reinstatement eligibility can be confirmed on the Annual Renewal page (Trusted Partner Link) of the NMLS Resource Center.
