To tally all standard and experimental leases that are operating, filter “A” (active) and “P” (pending) together. Leases with the status “P" (pending) are either standard leases in the application process for renewal, or experimental leases in the application process for conversion to a standard lease.

Paul Christman Receives 2022 Trout Unlimited Conservation Professional Award

Augusta - Paul Christman, a Marine Scientist with the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) Bureau of Searun Fisheries and Habitat has received the 2022 Trout Unlimited (TU) Conservation Professional Award.

The award, presented during TU's July Annual Meeting in Portland, recognizes Christman's efforts to restore endangered Atlantic salmon on Maine rivers including the Kennebec, the Sheepscot, and the Androscoggin.

Colin MacDonald Promoted to Marine Patrol Captain

Augusta - Colin MacDonald, an 18-year veteran of the Maine Marine Patrol, has been promoted to the rank of Captain.

In the new role, Captain MacDonald will be responsible for planning, directing, overseeing, and evaluating all activities within Marine Patrol's Special Services Division which includes the Underwater Recovery Team, the Maritime Security Team, the Firearms Team, and the Whale Disentanglement Team.
