Right Whale Aggregation Informational Meeting to be Held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 The Department will be holding an informational meeting regarding the Right Whale aggregation that occurred off Jeffreys Ledge in January of 2025 on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, at 6:00 PM. This meeting is being held at the request of the Lobster Zone G Subcommittee, to provide an opportunity for industry members to work with the Department on a plan in the event another aggregation occurs this winter.

Pursuant to 38 M.R.S. §480-D, sub-§9, the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) is required to provide the Maine Department of Environmental Protection with an assessment of the impacts on the fishing industry of a proposed dredging operation.

QYA Air Route Surveillance Radar Site Demolition Activities

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes the demolition of five accessory buildings associated with the QYA Air Route Surveillance Radar (ARSR) site located near 64 Base Road in Machiasport, ME.
