The food benefits provided support WIC's nutrition education messages, support successful long-term breastfeeding, and provide more variety of foods. Food benefits are tailored to a participant's needs, age, and breastfeeding level. For example, a woman who is fully breastfeeding her baby receives different types and amounts of foods than a one-year-old child.

Shopping with Farmers
WIC authorized farmers provide participants with a variety of WIC-allowed fruits and vegetables. Before checkout, participants must generate a barcode in the BNFT app and present it to the farmer. This barcode ensures that WIC and FMNP benefits are redeemed correctly for the foods prescribed to each participant. Please note that farmers cannot accept WIC cards.
Be ready to create a Bnft account. You will need
- WIC EBT card number
