Where to Get Vaccinated in Maine
Vaccination is one of the best ways to protect yourself, your family, and your community from vaccine-preventable diseases. Whether you need routine vaccines for your child, recommended vaccines as an adult, vaccines during pregnancy, or vaccines for travel, there are many locations across Maine where you can get vaccinated.
Childhood Vaccines (Ages 0-18)
Children in Maine can receive recommended vaccines at no cost through Maine's Universal Immunization Program, regardless of insurance status. Learn more about recommended vaccines for children, school and childcare immunization requirements and vaccine resources available for families here.

Adult Vaccines (Ages 19 - 64 years)
Beginning July 1, 2026, Maine's Universal Immunization Program provides access to routinely recommended vaccines for eligible adults ages 19-64 through enrolled healthcare providers.
Vaccines may be available at:
- Family Medicine practices
- Primary Care offices
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
- Walk-In Clinics

Adults 65 and Older
Adults 65 and older are not currently included in Maine's Universal Immunization Program. Vaccines may be available through Medicare, pharmacies, and manufacturer Patient Vaccine Assistance Programs (listed below).

Patient Vaccine Assistance Programs
If you need help paying for vaccines, some vaccine manufacturers may offer patient assistance programs that may provide vaccines at no cost to eligible uninsured adults. Program eligibility and covered vaccines vary by manufacturer. Patients may contact the manufacturer directly to determine eligibility.
