The online training is being updated for 2025. Until the update is complete, LHOs can complete the training using the LHO Training Workbook (PDF). Once you have completed the required Local Health Officer Core Training in the attached workbook, email the Local Health Officer Coordinator (lho.coordinator@maine.gov) to get your Certificate of Completion. Include the Certifying language below:
“I certify that I have completed this Local Health Officer Core Training and understand the subject matter contained in this training. In the event questions arise during my performance as the town's LHO, I can contact my Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention Public Health District Liaison for assistance.”

This training provides you with:
- A brief history of Local Health Officers (“LHOs”) in Maine;
