WIC Administration and Policies

It is very important to the Maine CDC WIC Program that services are available to all eligible Mainers. We take steps to ensure there is no discrimination in accessing services and benefits. Resources have been translated into multiple languages to improve access to information.

Many policies guide WIC's work at the state and community levels. The WIC Policies are available for review and to help guide our work across Maine. The WIC State Plan is reviewed and updated each year with an opportunity for public comment. Check out the WIC State Plan section below to learn more about this process, including when and how you can provide input.

Maine WIC Nutrition Program State Plan

The Maine WIC Program is requesting public comment on the WIC State Plan policies for Federal Fiscal Year 2027 (October 1, 2026 - September 30, 2027). Although comments are accepted anytime throughout the year, this serves as a reminder as we approach the August 15 submission date.
