Dear Industry Member:

Based on feedback from the first Waterfront Resiliency Grant Program Informational Webinar, updates have been made to the Program's Frequently Asked Questions document. The updated Frequently Asked Questions document can be found here.

Please also note that both the Island Institute and the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association have dedicated resources to helping people complete and submit their applications.  You can reach out to them in the following ways to find out more about how they may be able to assist.

Applications for the Waterfront Resiliency Grant Program must be submitted and received by Monday, June 10, 2024.   If an application is submitted in hard copy, it must be postmarked no later than June 10, 2024.

Program information and a copy of the application can be found here.

For expenses not eligible for funding by the Waterfront Resiliency Grant Program, please see the Business Recovery and Resilience Fund administered by the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) to determine if you may be eligible for funding through that program. Information about this Program is available on the DECD website at

As a reminder, the Department of Marine Resources (DMR) will host a second Working Waterfront Resiliency Grant Program Informational Webinar on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 4pm. The webinar will provide an overview of the Program and an opportunity to ask questions regarding the Program.
