The Maine Department of Health and Human Services’ Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Maine CDC) has launched a new Respiratory Virus Dashboard to provide timely, centralized surveillance data on respiratory virus activity in Maine. You can find it on the Maine CDC website at https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/data-reports/diseases/infectious-disease/respiratory-dashboard.
The dashboard includes current information on influenza, COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), with data updated every Wednesday. The dashboard information, intended to support clinical awareness, preparedness, and public health response, includes Activity Summary, Emergency Department Surveillance, Hospitalizations, Deaths, Outbreaks, and Laboratory and Case Surveillance.
Health care providers and health care facilities are encouraged to review the dashboard and incorporate this information, as appropriate, into clinical and operational decision-making and education to patients.
