The National Weather Service has issued a set of Extreme Heat Watches, Extreme Heat Warnings, and Heat Advisories for much of the state for Wednesday, July 1, through Friday, July 3, 2026. Temperatures in the high 90s to 100s and high humidity will produce dangerous heat index (“feels like” temperature) values in the 100s-110s F. Some people will face a higher risk of heat-related illness due to underlying medical conditions or certain activities or behaviors. Clinicians should review clinical guidance and patient toolkits for high-risk groups.
