Become a Maine State Park Lifeguard
The Maine State Park lifeguard team is searching for qualified individuals with aquatic experience (swimming, surfing) and a strong public safety aptitude (leadership, coaching, mentoring) who have their lifesaving, CPR and First Aid certifications** to join us this summer. Our lifeguards take great pride in protecting beach-goers and themselves. Learn more about becoming a Maine State Park lifeguard below.

- Course Fee Reimbursement - If you pass an accredited lifeguard course and the Maine State Park Lifeguard Academy and work a complete season as a lifeguard with Maine State Parks, your lifeguard course fee will be reimbursed.

Work in the Public Lands
Maine's Public Lands include some of the most outstanding natural features and secluded locations in Maine. The more than half million acres are managed for a variety of resource values including recreation, wildlife, and timber. We hire foresters, forest technicians, and seasonal recreation rangers.

Work at a State Park or Historic Site
Park and historic site staff offer exemplary visitor services while performing a wide range of outdoor duties. They provide information to visitors, ensure visitor safety, perform park maintenance and repairs, and update welcome and information kiosks.
