First Day Hikes - Wednesday January 1, 2021

This annual event, in partnership with the National Association of America's State Parks, inspired nearly 85,000 people across the country last year to collectively walk over 176,336 miles on the guided hikes, that included snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, on New Year's Day.

Virtual Visit 2 - Holbrook Island Sanctuary, Brooksville, Maine.

Virtual Visit 3 - Lily Bay State Park, Greenville, Maine.

Lily Bay State Park offers waterfront camping at the gateway to Maine’s North Woods—a destination renowned for its outdoor recreation opportunities- from hiking and canoeing to fishing and wildlife watching. Kaiwi State Scenic Shoreline, O‘ahu

Kaiwi's First Day Hike celebration is a multicultural event. The day begins with the customary blowing of the Pu (conch shell - at 3 minutes and 50 seonds into the video), followed by bagpipes, and a taiko drum performance. Aerial shots of the beautiful shoreline follow the opening ceremony. Start your journey!
