Troop D Weekly Report

Troop D weekly activities for time October 28th to November 3rd 2019

On 10/27/19 Tr. Martin, Tr. Bureau and Sgt. Fowlie responded to a report of an assault in Liberty. As a result of the investigation it was discovered no assault had actually taken place. However, it was discovered that Mitchell Mcpartlin (37) of Augusta was found to be in violation of his bail conditions by consuming and possessing alcohol. Mcpartlin was arrested and transported to Waldo County Jail and charged with VCR.

On 10/30/19 Cpl. Pelletier stopped Benjamin Kubicki (42) of Mount Vernon on Western Ave. in Manchester for an inspection violation. His vehicle’s registration was expired in excess of 150 days, and he was summonsed for the offense.

On 10/31/19 Tr. Parks responded to a report of a crash on the Hanson Rd. in China. Brandon Kelsey (22) of Damariscotta, was driving north on the Hanson Rd. when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The vehicle sustained operable damage.

On 10/31/19 Sgt. Quintero responded to a rollover crash in the town of Morrill. Bradley Beeton (33) of Jackson was found to be significantly injured and significantly impaired. Beeton was transported form the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

On 11/1/19 Trooper Verhille responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in the Town of Richmond. Sharif Abdelrihim (24) of Madison, failed to maintain his lane and struck the vehicle of Joy Metcalf (73) of Northport.

On 11/1/19 Trooper Verhille responded to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in the Town of Brunswick after Jason Medina (40) of Windham struck a deer.

On 11/1/19 Tr. Dunn stopped Chrystal Lalli (35) of Waldoboro on the Cushing Rd. in Friendship for an inspection violation. Her license was suspended and she was also charged with False Identification of Registration Plate.

On 11/1/19 Tr. Peckham summonsed Chad Trussell (37) of Jefferson for OUI after receiving the DHHS lab results stemming from a crash on September 2, 2019 in Pittston.

On 11/1/19 Tpr. Parks investigated a report of a crash on the Doyle Rd. in Windsor. Stacy Joslyn (34) of Whitefield was driving east on the Doyle Rd. when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The vehicle sustained operable damage.

On 11/1/19 Sgt. Quintero responded to a car vs. deer crash in the town of Lincolnville. Dylan Green (22) of Searsport sustained significant vehicle damage.

On 11/2/19 Tr. Martin responded to a crash in Lincolnville. While speaking with the operator, Myriah Sochurek (34) of Lincolnville, Tr. Martin detected the odor of intoxicants. Sochurek showed clues of impairment during sobriety testing then was transported to Waldo County Jail for a breath test. The test confirmed she was under the influence of intoxicants. Sochurek was processed into Waldo County Jail for Operating Under the Influence and Driving to Endanger.

On 11/2/19 Sgt. Quintero responded to a crash on Rt. 17 in the Town of Windsor. Through investigation it was learned that the vehicle was driven by Jeffery Nichols (55) of Windsor. Nichols confessed to fleeing the scene the previous night and abandoning the car and walking home the night before. Nichols was summonsed for leaving the scene of a crash
