Troop D Weekly Report


Troop D weekly activities for time March 2nd to March 8th, 2020

On 3/2/2020 Cpl. Robinson and Tr. Bureau assisted the Maine Warden Service and other local Police Departments with the Special Olympics in Belfast at their annual swim meet. 

On 3/3/2020 Trooper’s Dunn, Belanger, and Stevens conducted a bail check of Jasmine Jackson (24) at her house in West Gardiner. Jackson was summonsed for VCR for a bail violation.


On 3/5/2020 Tr. Harrington stopped: Tracy McGruder (28) and another passenger both of Rochester, N.Y. in the parking lot of the Senator Inn in Augusta after observing traffic infractions occur on I95. Criminal indicators were observed, and Tr. Lacoste and K9 Bella were called on to assist with the stop. The presence of narcotics was detected by K9 Bella and a search of the vehicle was conducted. No illegal contraband was located. Ultimately, McGruder was summonsed for Operating Without License and released to the other passenger who held a valid driver’s license. 

On 3/6/2020 Cpl. Pelletier stopped Roland Kennerson (46) of West Gardiner on I-295 in West Gardiner for an inspection violation. The vehicle he was operating was recently purchased at an auto auction and was not registered. He was summonsed for the offense. 


On 3/7/2020 Tr. Verhille assisted Troop B at 271 College Street in the Town of Greene.  Christian Cavallo (47) of Greene, was located at his apartment and wanted for violating a protection order, domestic assault and obstructing a report of a crime.  Cavello would not come to the door and stayed hidden inside his apartment.  Tr. Verhille gave a verbal announcement at the door, that his K9 would be deployed.  Cavello then surrendered without incident and was taken into custody.
