Maine State Police and the Medical Examiner’s Office have identified the woman found buried in the back yard in Norway, Maine, as Mae Shelton, 82, of Otisfield, Maine. 

Shelton’s remains were recovered from a property in the Town of Norway on Sept 17. 

State Police were assisted in the search and recovery by the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Norway Police, the Maine Department of Transportation, and the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Troopers from Troop D arrested Shawn Metayer, 60, of Litchfield this afternoon (Nov. 17, 2019) on warrants stemming from the fatal Litchfield crash on Nov. 9. Metayer was arrested at his home after being released from the hospital. The warrants were for two counts of Class A Manslaughter, and one charge of OUI (Class B, felony).  He is being held at Kennebec County Jail without bail and is expected in court Monday morning.

Web 3Maine State Police in Troop F are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals who burglarized a business in Eagle Lake. 

Around 5:30 pm on Wednesday November 15th, two individuals burglarized the Eagle Lake Marijuana Caregiver Facility. A large amount of cash and electronics were stolen.

Bangor DrugsBANGOR, Maine- Police arrested a Brewer man for aggravated drug trafficking after a traffic stop on Union Street.  On Nov. 15, Maine State Troopers and Bangor Police Officers stopped a vehicle after identifying Terrence Robinson, 27, a known fugitive wanted in Maine on several drug trafficking charges get into the passenger seat.

Suspect 1Maine State Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two men who burglarized two area businesses in Hollis.

During the early morning hours on November 15, 2019, two male suspects burglarized the Pizza Garage and Station House Convenience Store in Hollis. Two safes were broken into and a large amount of cash was stolen.

Maine State Police were called to a residence at 1104 Springs Bridge Road Greenbush after a neighbor became concerned and alerted authorities. 

Upon arrival, Troopers located two deceased adults. They have been identified as Mark Buchanan, 60, of Greenbush and resident; and Leah Watson, 51, also of Greenbush. Police believe the deaths are drug related and there is no threat to the public. Authorities are waiting tests results from the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Troop D weekly activities for time November 4th to November 10th 2019

On 11/7/19 Sgt. Quintero conducted a traffic stop of Sarah Crane (41 YO) of Rockland. After finding evidence of recent crack cocaine use in the vehicle Crane was arrested for 2 counts Unlawful Possession of Schedule Drugs in the town of Waldoboro. Crane was booked into Two Bridges Regional Jail.
