Trooper:                   Cpl. Quint

Brief Synopsis:       Cpl. Quint was conducting traffic enforcement on Rt. 1 in Houlton.  Cpl. stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction and learned that the driver’s license was under suspension.  Cpl. Quint issued the driver a summons for OAS and arranged for a licensed driver to take the vehicle.

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Kilcollins was notified of a man who was under suspension who was using a zero-turn lawn mower to drive around town.  This particular evening the man was hauling a basket to carry his items.  Tr. Kilcollins was familiar with the man and waited for him near his residence.  The man drove by Tr. Kilcollins and Tr. Kilcollins conducted a traffic stop on the lawn mower.  Tr. Kilcollins issued the man a summons for OAS.

Town:                        MAPLETON

Trooper:                   Tr. Kilcollins

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Kilcollins responded to a two-vehicle crash that occurred on the Mapleton Rd. in Mapleton.  A vehicle had its right blinker on and was slowing to turn onto the Carvel Rd.  A tractor trailer pulp truck was passing by the car when the car suddenly made a left had turn striking the tractor trailer truck.  The operator of the car was not seriously injured but his car was totaled.  Witnesses on scene confirmed that the car turned into the tractor trailer.

Trooper:                   Cpl. Quint

Brief Synopsis:       Cpl. Quint received a call about a vehicle driving through a potato field causing damage to the rows and plants.  Due to the dry soil, Cpl. Quint was not able to identify any tire definition.  The investigation is ongoing.

Town:                        MONTICELLO

Trooper:                   Tr. Kilcollins

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Kilcollins was conducting traffic enforcement in the town of Monticello when he stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction.  Tr. Kilcollins learned that the operator’s license was under suspension and he had an active arrest warrant.  Tr. Kilcollins arrested the man for his warrants and transported him to Aroostook County Jail.  Tr. Kilcollins allowed the man to make arrangements for a licensed driver to come get his vehicle.

Town:                        LITTLETON

Trooper:                   Tr. RIDER

Brief Synopsis:       Tr. Rider received a call about a vehicle that was possibly stolen and in the woods behind the complainant’s house.  After investigation, it was found that the vehicle was taken from the driveway, crashed into a trailer before it came to rest behind the complainant’s house in the woods.   Evidence was taken from the scene and Tr. Rider does not have any suspects at this time.

Town:                        wESTFIELD

Trooper:                   Sgt. Haines

Brief Synopsis:       Sgt. Josh Haines was on Route 1 in Westfield following a tractor trailer when a vehicle pulled out and passed his cruiser and the tractor trailer on a double line section of roadway near the crest of a hill.  Sgt. Haines pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the female operator.  She had been drinking and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.  She was arrested and transported to Presque Isle Police Department where she was given an intoxilyzer test and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.
