1/8 | PORTLAND | Darien Richardson, 25, is shot by an intruder inside her apartment in Portland. She initially recovers from her wound, but later dies in Florida from a blood clot that resulted. Portland Police are investigating and labeled the death a homicide on June 10.

1/27 | BANGOR | John Surles, 19, is shot to death with a handgun alongside Cumberland St. Zachary Carr, 18, is charged with murder. Both men knew each other and Bangor Police are investigating.
2/10 | PORTLAND | Serge Mulongo, 24, is shot to death with a handgun alongside Park Ave. Daudoit Butsitsi and Moses Okot, both 24, are charged with murder. The men knew each other and Portland Police are investigating. OPEN CASE
2/23 | BANGOR | Damien Lynn, 15 months old, beaten to death at his home. His mother's boyfriend, Edgard Anziani, 27, is charged with murder and manslaughter. DOMESTIC
3/13 | LIMINGTON | Kelly Winslow-Dapolito, 30, is shot to death inside her home. Her husband, Patrick Dapolito, 39, is charged with murder. DOMESTIC
4/27 | GRAY | Benjamin Mclatchie, 22, is shot and killed by his father, Daniel Mclatchie, 44, who shots and kills himself. Both are shot in the yard of their home. MURDER-SUICIDE, DOMESTIC
5/5 | PORTLAND Rogers Downs Jr., 46, is beaten inside a Forest Ave. apartment and dies later at the hospital. Ernest Weidul, 50, was indicted by a grand jury for manslaughter in December.
5/8 | TURNER | Jane Tetreault, 38, is shot and killed inside her home. Her husband, Brian Nichols, 45, is charged with murder. DOMESTIC
5/23 | PORTLAND | Eric Benson, 24, dies after being punched in the face while walking downtown. William Googins, 20, is charged with manslaughter. Portland Police investigating.
5/25 PRENTIS | Debra Meitzler, 51, is shot and killed inside her home by her husband, Dean Meitzler, 51, who shots and kills himself. MURDER-SUICIDE, DOMESTIC
6/23 | AMITY | Jeffrey Ryan, 55, his 10 year old son Jesse Ryan, and Jason Dehahn, 30, are stabbed to death at Ryan's home in Amity. Thayne Ormsby, 20, is arrested on 7/2 and charged with three counts of murder. TRIPLE HOMICIDE
6/25 | BROOKS | Deborah Littlefield, 49, is shot to death inside her home. Her husband, Michael Littlefield, 48, is charged with murder. DOMESTIC
7/20 | MORRILL | Pamela Green, 42, is strangled to death inside her home. Her recent boyfriend, Dennis Edgecomb, 39, who also lived in the house, is charged with murder. DOMESTIC
7/20 | HOLLIS | Freda Lagarde, 44, is shot to death inside her home by her husband, Mike Lagarde, 50, who shots and kills himself. MURDER-SUICIDE - DOMESTIC
7/25 | PORTLAND | Taquan Samuels, 22, from New York is shot to death inside an Allen Ave. apartment. Portland Police are investigating. OPEN CASE
8/12 | PORTLAND | Richard Meyers, 55, is stabbed to death inside a Grant St. apartment. Shawn Garland, 25, who rents the apartment, is charged with murder. Portland Police Investigating.
8/31 | WINDHAM | David Harmon, 40, is shot to death trying to steal marijuana from the property of Joseph Green, who is charged with murder.
9/1 | BANGOR | Ralph Greenleaf, 47, dies after being involved in a fight three days earlier near the Chamberlain bridge. Bangor Police are investigating. OPEN CASE
10/9 | LEWISTON | Alfred Kelly, 29, and Bobby Evans, 32, stab each other in a fight and both die from their wounds. DOUBLE HOMICIDE.
11/20 | ROCKLAND | Katrina Windred, 47, strangled to death at her ex-boyfriend's apartment. Her body was found four days later along a rural road. Arnold Diana, 35, is charged with murder. DOMESTIC
12/4 | HALLOWELL | Paul Allen, 47, is beaten and stabbed to death along outer Winthrop Street. Peter Bathgate, 30, is charged with murder.
