2-11 | Pittsfield -- Nunzi Mancini, 38, shot and killed with a handgun in his taxicab after driving from Portland to Pittsfield. Charged with murder is 22-year-old Derek Wilhelmsen.
3-3 | Lewiston -- Morgan McDuffee, 22, stabbed to death in a street fight. Brandon Thongsavanh, 19, charged with murder.
3-7 | Cumberland -- Azita Jamshab, 29, shot to death with handgun at entrance of gravel pit. Her insurance agent, Santanu Basu, 34, charged with murder.
4-18 | Portland -- Zacharia Abdi, 40, stabbed to death in bar fight. Modou Fall, 39, charged with elevated aggravated assault.
4-29 | Portland -- Anne Marie Caouette, 36, found dead inside her apartment on May 3. Grand Jury on 9/6 indicted Mary Hanaman, 24, with murder. .
5-26 | Bowdoin -- Cody Green, 16, beaten to death. Her body was found a month later. Olland Reese, 19, a friend, charged with murder.
5-27 | Palermo -- Daniel Walsh, 40, shot and killed with handgun inside his own home by a neighbor. Donald Mooney, 36, a neighbor, was initially charged with manslaughter, but the grand jury indicted Mooney for terrorizing and criminal threatening.
6-2 | Biddeford -- 11-month-old Chason Treadwell. The boy’s mother’s boyfriend, Shawn Small, 25, charged with aggravated assault. DOMESTIC
7-18 | Greene -- Aaron Devoe, 37, shot to death with handgun at a campground by Anthony Vellaro, 31, who then jumped into the lake and drowned. His body was found four days later. MURDER- SUICIDE
7-31 | Old Orchard Beach -- Derek Rogers, 47, beaten to death on the beach. Benjamin Humphrey, 29, charged with murder.
8-1 | Sweden -- Barbara Bassett, 52, shot to death with handgun. Her former boyfriend, James Nadeau, 57, is charged with murder. DOMESTIC
8-9 | Milo -- Pearle Cogswell, 66, shot to death with handgun by her husband, Eugene Cogswell, 75, who then shoots and kills himself. DOMESTIC – MURDER-SUICIDE
9-4 | Saco – Connie Gagliardi, 41, dies of knife wounds. Her companion, Walter Moore, 42, is charged with murder.
12-1 | Portland - Store clerk Jeffrey Rainey, 32, confronts shoplifter and is stabbed to death. John Mandarelli, 39, charged with murder.
