Join park staff, and University of Maine students Ariana Edwards (Biology) and Jack Fontaine (Wildlife Ecology), as they explore the intertidal zone. You'll learn about the features and creatures of the shoreline, and the waters of upper Penobscot Bay. This hour-long informal and educational Q & A will feature hands-on experiences suitable for all ages. Meet at the top of the main beach stairway along the shoreline parking lot in front of the restrooms, and if you have them, bring a magnifying lens and ID guide. Also, dress for the weather and wear muck boots or sturdy footwear. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost: Free with park admission. $1.00 for ages 5-11, $3.00 for Maine residents ages 12-64, $4.00 for non residents ages 12-64, $1.00 for non residents 65 and older, persons under 5 and Maine residents 65 and older are free.
