First Day Hike at Wolfe's Neck Woods State Park

Start out your New Year at the park with a First Day Hike! We have two options at the park for you: 1) Stop by the "Islands and Beyond" panel (sign #8), and easy -mile in from the parking lot on the Casco Bay Trail, any time between 11:00 and noon to view birds on the bay through the park's spotting scope with a ranger. Viewing is weather dependent; please feel free to bring your own binoculars and spotting scope. 2) Take a self-guided Heritage Hike on the two mile loop of the Casco and Harraseeket Trails. Download the Heritage Hike guide at https://www.maine.gov/dacf/mnap/assistance/hikes/wolfesneck.pdf Snowshoes will be on loan, near the parking area, on a first come, first served basis for those who would like to use them.
