Join Park Ranger and Maine Master Naturalist instructor Jeff Pengel in exploring the natural history of the ferns of Bradbury Mountain State Park. Jeff will emphasize the ecology, unique biological adaptations, and recent research on the ferns and allies we encounter. He will also provide identification tips for the species we find. Walk is geared toward teens and adults, and lasts about 90 minutes. Meet at the picnic shelter and wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes. Cameras are welcome; please be courteous of people who do not want to be in photos. Program is free with day-use entry and to those camping at the park. *Weather notice: May be cancelled due to continuous precipitation or lightning in the area.
