Camping at Maine State Parks

Whether you are a seasoned camper or first-timer you will enjoy the camping at a Maine State Park campground. For groups of 6 or fewer people with at least one camper aged 18 order.

Aroostook and Cobscook State Parks will reopen for primitive camping and day-use at the start of the 2026 camping season. Drinking water, flush toilets, and showers will not be available. Vault toilets will be available. All park visitors must bring their own drinking water.

These park enhancements include the construction of new bathroom facilities and modernized, accessible amenities, as well as underground water and utility upgrades. These investments reflect the Bureau of Parks and Lands’ commitment to providing high-quality recreational spaces while preserving the natural beauty of these popular outdoor destinations. 2026 Season Reservations +

Lily Bay State Park AND Sebago Lake State Park – Monday, February 2, 2026 at 9:00 AM, EST (storm date if Maine State Government is closed – Tuesday, February 3, 2026)
Group Camping and Picnic Shelter Reservations - February 2 - Call park directly, not the online reservation or Camping Call Center. Locations, Reservation Information, and Phone Numbers to call;
All Parks - Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 9:00 AM, EST (storm date if Maine State Government is closed – Friday, February 6, 2026)
Online Reservations continue through to 9/12/2026 until 4:00 PM EST.
