State Police Major Crimes Unit South is currently working with Cumberland and York County Sheriff’s Offices investigating the death of 29 year old Amanda Brown of Standish.  

On June 11, 2021, Tr. Gould responded to an assault complaint in Enfield.  Witnesses called to report there was a vehicle on the side of the road, and they had witnessed a male assaulting a female. As a result of the investigation, David Adams of Howland was arrested and transported to PCJ.  He was charged with DV Aggravated Assault, class B.

On 06/09/2021, at approximately 1800 hours, Troopers Worcester and MacKinnon located Jeffrey Lavery (34) of NH breaking into a vehicle repair business and a truck on Litchfield Road in Wells.  Lavery was the suspect in the theft of a car from a residence in Old Orchard Beach.  Lavery fled the scene on the Maine Turnpike when he got a flat tire in the stolen car close to the Littlefield Road overpass.

On May 31, 2021, Cpl. Coover stopped Allen Henry, 46, of Lincoln, on I-95 Orono at 2245hrs.  Upon investigation Henry was arrested for OUI and OAR.  A Meth pipe was found on his person and Tr. Bragan also found Meth in Henry’s vehicle.  Henry was arrested and charged with OUI (.14) OAR & Unlawful Poss. of Sch. Drugs.

The Bridgton Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for Clarence Taylor, 77, who was last seen at 3:30 PM, June 13, 2021 in Bridgton. Taylor is a white male, 5’ 9”,  150 lbs. with gray hair and hazel eyes. He is wearing glasses and is likely wearing black sweatpants and black shoes. Taylor suffers from severe dementia and is very unsteady on his feet.

On 05/31/2021, Tr. Darcy charged Isabella Tynski (22) of CT with OAS after investigating a two-vehicle crash southbound on the turnpike in York.

On 06/01/2021, Cpl. Cropper stopped a vehicle for criminal speed, 116/70, northbound in Kennebunk. Keith McNeff (28) of Biddeford was summonsed and PR bailed from the scene.
