Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend!
September 14 & 15, 2024
Maine State Parks welcomes Girl Scouts of Maine on this special weekend of nationwide celebration because Girl Scouts Love State Parks! We thank you for your appreciation of and service to Maine State Parks. Girls Scouts, and their family members that accompany them in their car, will receive FREE day entry in exchange for sharing their park experience. Entry to the parks is only for day use and has the same location exceptions as a park pass. Be sure to look below for the special programs being offered at no cost to you!
Please be sure to:- Wear your Girl Scout vest or sash so that you will be recognized as a Girl Scout during your visit.
- Take photos of your visit and share them with us to make sure others know how beautiful and important the Maine State Parks are for everyone to enjoy.

While you're visiting a Maine State Park consider:
- Picking up a Junior Ranger booklet to participate in the fun activities and programs that help you learn more about the parks and become a Jr. Ranger! Available at these 12 State Parks: Aroostook, Bradbury Mountain, Camden Hills, Cobscook Bay, Lake St. George, Lamoine, Lily Bay, Mount Blue, Peaks-Kenny, Rangeley Lake, Sebago Lake, and Warren Island State Parks.
- Searching for a Maine State Park geocache. View the 8 locations and all the details at the Park Geocache page.
- Pick up a Park Passport Booklet and start collecting stamps that will win you prizes! Get the details on the Park Passport page.
- Working on an Outdoors badge like the Trail Adventure badges, those focused on environmental stewardship (Eco Learner, Eco Friend, etc.), or others with an outdoor focus. Check out the options.
