Lewiston CrashState Police say the man who died in a crash on the Maine Turnpike in Lewiston on April 27, 2020,  is 31 year old Joshua Lussier of Lewiston.  Troopers said Lussier was traveling at a high rate of speed in the northbound lane when his car struck guardrails.  He was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown out of the car.

On 04/23/2020, Tr. Physic received an erratic operation complaint. Tr. Physic was finally able to catch up to the vehicle and witnessed it all over the road. Tr. Physic initiated a complaint and made contact with the driver. Tr. Physic ruled out impairment from alcohol or drugs. Tr. Physic questioned the driver further and the driver could not answer basic questions. Tr. Physic had dispatch call rescue.

State Police shot and killed a man Saturday following an 12 hour armed standoff at the man's home on the Tripptown Road in Hiram where the gunman fired multiple shots at police.  The man killed is 59 year old Reed Rickabaugh.  No police officers were injured.    The police involvement with Rickabaugh began Thursday (April 23, 2020) when an Oxford County deputy sheriff started investigating a report of gunshots from Rickabaugh's home and a bullet striking a neighbor's house. Rickabaugh would only speak to the deputy through a closed door.

State Police say one man was killed this morning in a one vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Hampden.  The crash took place about 5:30 AM off the northbound lanes on April 22, 2020.  The pickup truck lost control on black ice, struck a guardrail and overturned several times.

The name of the victim will be released later today after relatives have been notified.  The victim is the 31st person to die on Maine roads this year, the same number as last year at this time.
