Maine State Police Major Crimes Central arrested Kierra Francis, 28, of Bronx New York, and charged her with Felony Murder in relation to a homicide that occurred in early October of 2020. Francis was a passenger in a vehicle that Waterville Police was attempting to stop so State Police Detectives could take Francis into custody. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop for Waterville officers.

On 02/01/2021, Augusta RCC received two calls on an erratic operation/road rage complaint northbound on the Turnpike in Litchfield.  Tr. Vanadestine responded to the West Gardiner service plaza at MM 102 to meet with one caller, the male operator of a Ford F-150 with two passengers, who claimed he had been assaulted and his truck vandalized.  Cpl.

A Norway man is in custody after peacefully surrendering to Troopers after a stand-off that lasted several hours. 

Brian Cabral, 42, of Norway, had been the subject of an ongoing drug investigation in the Oxford Hills Area. Recently a Class A warrant for Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W drugs ( fentanyl ) was obtained by State Police Investigators. Cabral is on Probation for Drug Trafficking. Cabral also has bail conditions. Cabral has been well aware Troopers have been looking for him.

Two people are dead and several others injured following a motor vehicle crash in Sandy River Plantation.

Maine State Police from Troop G wish to speak to the occupants of the van pictured here on the Maine Turnpike taking the Kittery Rest Area exit on Jan 12, 2021. Authorities believe they may have witnessed a crash between two tractor trailers that day at approximately 2:10 p.m. Anyone else who witnessed the crash should call Cpl.
