UPDATE: Mr. Salisbury has been found safe by Cpl. Jonathan Russell walking on I-295 in Topsham after a passerby called it in. He is currently being evaluated by rescue.

On 03/02/2021, the Augusta RCC received a call on a vehicle that was traveling 100+ MPH southbound in Kennebunk before it pulled over abruptly.  Tr. Loder found the vehicle abandoned at the Wells line and discovered it had been reported stolen from Portland the night before.  A few minutes later, Cpl.

Maine State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 12-year-old out of Frankfort. 

#UPDATE - the 12-year-old was located safely by authorities. 

Sanford woman involved in Alfred Crash charged with OUI and multiple felonies

On Feb. 28, 2021, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Troopers from Troop A responded to the report of a multi-vehicle crash on Route 111 in Alfred with reported injuries. 

On February 17, 2021, the Maine State Police obtained a warrant for the arrest of 46-year-old Seth Carey of Rumford, Maine.  Carey was arrested this afternoon in Orlando, Florida, and is currently being held at the Orange County Jail.  This investigation began in March of 2018 when a 34-year-old female reported to the Rumford Police Department that she had been sexually assaulted by Carey.  

On March 3, 2021, Troopers from Troop C responded to a report of a crash involving two tractor trailers in the area of mile 154 southbound. Preliminary investigation shows that a tractor trailer driven by Metho Nelson, 34, of New York, NY struck another tractor trailer truck driven by Stewart Hallett, 63, of Mars Hill, Maine. Minor injuries were sustained by both drivers however both tractor trailers require removal by heavy wreckers and the interstate is down to one line in this area. Maine DOT has posted signs advising drivers of this.
