Maine State Police say a single vehicle and single driver were involved in a crash that shut down Interstate 95 southbound in Orono earlier today. The interstate is now back open to traffic.
Police are not releasing the name of the person involved in the crash, but say that a single vehicle with a single occupant was reported off the road at mile marker 191 in Orono at 12:51 p.m. The interstate was closed so the person could be transported to an area hospital via LifeFlight. The extent of the injuries is unknown at this time.
LifeFlight, Old Town and Orono Fire Rescue assisted at the scene.
