Getting Here By Car +

Take Route 117 east from Turner about 2 miles, turning right at a fork onto Center Bridge Road just before a 4-way intersection. Continue straight onto Center Bridge Rd. and proceed another 2 miles to the State Park's main entrance on the right. ATV riders must use this lot for off-loading. A small 4-6 car lot, for non-motorized access only, is located off Conant Road on the south end of the park.

Getting Here By Boat +

Turner Boat Launch (a public boat launch owned and operated by Brookfield Renewable) is located 1/3 mile beyond the park main entrance.

Lying near Maine’s second largest urban area, Lewiston/Auburn, Androscoggin Riverlands State Park is a popular recreational getaway with a 2,675-acre expanse and 12 miles of river frontage. More than half of Maine’s population lives within an hour’s drive of this park, which is the fifth largest in the State. An extensive trail network and undeveloped lands offer abundant recreational opportunities and habitat for wildlife. The Park is part of the larger Androscoggin Greenway and the Androscoggin River Water Trail.

Hunting is popular on these lands, be sure to wear highly visible clothing (blaze orange is recommended) in fall and spring.

Park Hours: Open all year; 9:00 a.m. to sunset daily, but is gated and accessible only for foot traffic between the end of snowmobile season and May 15, unless otherwise posted.

Summer Activities

ATV Riding +

  • Season for ATV riding is May 15 - December 15 unless otherwise posted.
  • Off loading & parking for ATVs is only at the north entrance parking area on Center Bridge Road.
  • 12 miles of shared-use trails plus connection to Turner for gas and food.

Boating & Paddling +

  • A trailerable boat launch site, the Turner Boat Launch, is located 1/3 mile beyond the park main entrance. This public boat launch is owned and operated by Brookfield Renewable. Boats are limited to 10 horsepower motors. Both motorized and non-motorized boats are allowed. View this & other public boat launch locations.
  • Brookfield Renewable manages and maintains the Turner and Greene boat launches and island picnic sites depicted on the park map (PDF) as part of a hydropower project licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
  • Paddlers put in at Turner Boat Launch and may stop in at the Riverlands at several shallow pullout locations plus visit the picnic sites on the waterway islands managed by Brookfield Renewable. The hand-carry launch on East Waterman Road is the closest launch to the south end of the park.

Hiking +

  • Hiking is allowed on all trails, however it is not recommended on the Bradford Loop Trail because it is a technical ATV trail.
  • Hunting is popular on these lands, be sure to wear highly visible clothing (blaze orange is recommended) in fall and spring.
  • Ten miles of hiking is available that include several loop options.
