Troop G Weekly Report 06/07/2021 - 06/13/2021

On 06/09/2021, at approximately 1800 hours, Troopers Worcester and MacKinnon located Jeffrey Lavery (34) of NH breaking into a vehicle repair business and a truck on Litchfield Road in Wells.  Lavery was the suspect in the theft of a car from a residence in Old Orchard Beach.  Lavery fled the scene on the Maine Turnpike when he got a flat tire in the stolen car close to the Littlefield Road overpass.  Wells PD is handling the criminal mischief and OOB PD is handling the vehicle theft and robbery investigations.  Lavery was turned over to Wells PD after being summonsed for Driving to Endanger as a result of complaints from a Turnpike employee and several motorists.

On 06/10/2021, Cpl. Physic pulled over a vehicle for speeding and erratic operation.  Cpl. Physic made contact with the driver, Erik Lund.  Lund admitted he had been drinking and Cpl. Physic put him through SFSTs.  Lund took an intoxilyzer test in which he blew over the legal limit.  Lund was charged with OUI and VCR.

On 06/11/2021, Cpl. Physic assisted Troop A with their chase.

On 06/11/2021, Tr. Darcy charged Travis Mickelonis (44) of NH with Operating without a License as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the turnpike in Saco. 

On 06/12/2021, Cpl. Physic received a call that a driver had hit a curb at the Exit 48 tolls and was now stationary.  Cpl. Physic and Sgt. Duda made contact with the subject, Samuel Yendego.  Cpl. Physic conducted an OUI investigation and ultimately arrested Yendego for OUI.  Yendego took an intoxilyzer test and blew over the legal limit.  Yendego was charged with OUI.

On 06/13/2021, Sgt. Duda came across a verbal dispute near the Saco toll between an intoxicated male and a female. No assaults had taken place; however, the male was reported to have a prior brain injury and had been consuming large quantities of alcohol. He was ultimately transported to SMCC for an evaluation.

On 06/13/2021, Sgt. Duda and Tr. Darcy were standing outside their vehicles clearing a prior call on the Saco spur. A vehicle traveling westbound came through the toll plaza at a high rate of speed and nearly lost control trying to brake and navigate through a toll stall. Sgt. Duda stopped the vehicle as it was entering I-95 northbound and subsequently arrested the female operator, Julie Drouin (35), for operating under the influence. Drouin was taken to Saco PD for a breath test where she blew over the legal limit.
