On 08/20/2020, Tr. Darcy arrested Eric Mays (33) of Keene, NH as the result of a traffic stop northbound on the turnpike in York. Mays had a failure to appear warrant and was bailed from Kittery PD.

A Massachusetts man died in a crash on the Maine Turnpike earlier today.
 
On Aug. 30, 2020, Maine State Police were called to a fatal crash at Mile Marker 18 on the Maine Turnpike (Between York and Wells, Maine). As a result of the investigation, Troopers learned that Eric Fishman, 62, of Danvers, Mass. had driven off the road at Mile Marker 18 southbound. His vehicle collided with the supports of a turnpike sign. Speed and weather are considered to be factors in the crash. Fishman was the only occupant in the crash.
 

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit responded to a residence located at 18 Beech Street in Greenville yesterday to investigate the death of two adults found deceased inside the residence.  The remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Augusta. 

The remains have been identified as Stephen Coffman,71, and Linda Coffman, 73.  The couple purchased the residence in Greenville in March of 2018.  

 
A Lewiston woman is facing charges of sexual exploitation of a minor after an investigation by the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit (CCU).
 

On August 27, 2020, at approximately 2:36 a.m., the Houlton Regional Communication Center (RCC) received a report of a crash on the County Road in New Limerick.  Tr. Tim Saucier responded and once on scene learned it was a loaded log truck which had lost its load of logs into the ditch.  Tr.

Maine State Police Major Crimes unit working with the Lewiston Police, United States Marshals Service and Vermont State Police were successful in developing information that has led to the arrest of Jaquille Coleman in Mississippi.  Deputies from the Hancock County Mississippi Sheriff’s Office located Coleman and placed him under arrest without incident.  Coleman will be returned to Maine to face charges that he murdered Natasha Morgan.
 
 

On 08/19/2020, Sgt. Porter pulled over a Cadillac Escalade that took the crossover at MM 20.3 to go from NB to SB. The operator, Abdelghani Dahhani (42) of Danvers, MA, was a chauffeur enroute to pick up a client. He was summonsed for Crossing Highway Dividing Space.

Maine State Police and Waterville Police are currently responding to a person discharging a firearm in Waterville. Police are asking Media who wish to report on the incident to stage at the Waterville Police Station for safety reasons.  We do not have a scheduled conference but will provide more information as it becomes available.
