MSP Investigating Fatal Crash in Stockton Springs

On Monday, April 13, 2026, at approximately 6:08 PM, Troopers from Maine State Police Central Field Troop responded to Route 1 in Stockton Springs for a report of a head-on collision involving two vehicles.

Preliminary investigation shows that a truck driven by 42-year-old Adam Sorrentino of Belfast, was traveling westbound when he struck an eastbound Subaru Forester driven by 77-year-old Anne Pomroy of Old Orchard Beach. Ms. Pomroy suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Sorrentino was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
