On the evening of September 24, 2015 the Caribou Fire Department responded to a residential building fire on lower Lyndon Street in Caribou. After putting the fire out firefighters discovered the body of the homeowner 58 year-old Kenneth Zernicke.  Zernicke’s death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office, but the case was never solved.

On Monday, October 25, 2021, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Maine State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Rt. 1 in Searsport (near Anglers Restaurant).

On 10/18/2021, Cpl. Cropper stopped a vehicle northbound in Gray for speeding. The operator, Isabella Gordon (18) of Freeport, was suspended. Gordon was summonsed for both speeding and Operating after Suspension.

red Volkswagen crashedNew Gloucester woman was injured after losing control of her car and hitting a tree.

On Saturday, October 23, 2021 at approximately 2:22 p.m. Maine State Police responded to a single vehicle crash in New Gloucester.

On Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at approximately 3pm 21-year-old Adam Reed was traveling north on Castine Road when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle, A 2020 Ford Mustang, skidded off the road rolled over and struck a tree. Reed was transported by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with serious injuries.

Waterville Crash with vehicles in flames.On Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10/19/21 at approximately 8 p.m. a Maine State Police Trooper came upon a crash near mile marker 129 northbound on I-95 in Waterville.

UPDATE:  The situation has been resolved and the shelter in place/lock doors request has been lifted. Thank you for your assistance. 

Due to a critical incident in Mars Hill, law enforcement are asking for the public to shelter and lock their doors. We will update as the situation evolves.
