On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at approximately 5:48 PM, Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on Long Ridge Road in Burlington. The vehicle, a 2016 red Chevrolet Equinox, was reported to have been coming from Lincoln with two blown tires prior to the crash. Witnesses observed the vehicle hitting a curb in Lincoln and continue driving towards Burlington. Troopers responded to the crash and found the vehicle rolled and resting on its side in the woods. Both passenger side tires were blown. The vehicle was operated by 48-year-old Jennifer Harriman of Burlington. There were 3 children in the vehicle, an 8-year-old and two one-year-olds. Harriman was transported by ambulance to Eastern Maine Medical Center. One of the one-year-olds was transported via Life Flight to Eastern Maine Medical Center. The other one-year-old and 8-year-old were transported by ambulance to Penobscot Valley Hospital. All the occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The crash and the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation. The Maine Warden Service, Howland Fire Department, Lincoln Fire Department and Life Flight assisted with the crash.
