Frank J. Wood Bridge Joint Repair

Brunswick ? Crews will be performing a joint repair on the Frank J. Wood Bridge in Brunswick tonight, August 23rd. This minor repair work will necessitate an alternating one-way traffic pattern beginning at 10 p.m. with flaggers assisting motorists through the area.

It is anticipated this work will last three to four hours only.

Steep Falls Bridge Inspection

Limington-Standish ? Crews will be performing a routine bridge inspection on the Steep Falls Bridge, which spans the Saco River in Limington and Standish on Route 11.

This inspection, expected to last from Tuesday, August 28th through Friday, August 31st, necessitates an alternating one-way traffic pattern over the bridge, with flaggers assisting motorists.

This daytime project is being conducted by TranSystems of Boston, Massachusetts.

Mexico-Peru Bridge Closure

Mexico-Peru ? Crews will be installing piping and conducting sewer work at the intersection of North Main Street and River Road (Route 2) forcing the full closure of the Mexico-Peru Bridge on Wednesday evening, August 29th. This work will start at 6:30 p.m. and continue overnight until 6:30 a.m.

Flaggers, detour signs and variable message boards will all help direct travelers along the detour route of approximately eight miles.

US Route 1 in Stockton Springs To Close Overnight

Stockton Springs ? US Route 1 in Stockton Springs will be closed, both northerly and southerly, on Wednesday, August 29th starting at 6 p.m. Crews will be setting steel beams in place for the Church Street Bridge until 5 a.m. on Thursday, August 30th.

While local traffic will be allowed thru the work zone, all other motorists traveling north will be guided by detour signs using Main Street through the downtown. Southerly traffic will be assisted by flaggers in an alternating one-way traffic pattern. The detour for both directions is approximately one-quarter mile

Exeter Road Closure Expected Next Week

Exeter ? Crews are paving, performing shoulder widening as well as guardrail improvements on the Exeter Bridge which spans the Allen Stream in Exeter. This work on the Exeter Road currently has an alternating one-way traffic pattern with flaggers assisting motorists through the area. The work zone is located approximately one-half mile northerly of the Garland/Exeter town line and is approximately 600 ft. in length.

Bridge in Milo Temporary Closed

Milo ? Crews will be replacing the existing deteriorated concrete bridge deck on the Pleasant River Bridge in Milo, which spans the Pleasant River.

The project will necessitate the closure of the bridge for approximately 35 consecutive days beginning on September 4th, while workers install a new concrete wearing surface. In addition, there will be curb and guardrail improvements, all being performed by Lane Construction.

The work zone is 100 ft. on the approach to the bridge, extending 100 ft. upon exiting the bridge, making the entire work area 500 ft. in length.

Portion of Route 201A in North Anson to Close

North Anson ? MaineDOT crews will be replacing a large box culvert in North Anson starting on September 4th, forcing the closure of Route 201A approximately one-half mile south of the Embden town line.

The work zone is approximately 200 ft in length.

Detour signs and message boards will guide motorists from Route 201 to Route 43, then onto Route 201A in Madison.

It is anticipated this daytime work will be completed by September 14th.

Nighttime Ramp Closures On For Congress Street

PORTLAND. Northbound lane closures on I-295 and northbound ramp closures at Congress Street and Park Avenue are scheduled through the night as final paving operations begin on the Interstate.

According to MaineDOT, nighttime paving activity in this work zone will continue into next week. The Congress Street on- and off-ramps are subject to closure Sunday through Thursday from 8 PM to 6 AM and on Friday from 10 PM to 8 AM.
