MaineDOT has been an active member in the Maine Climate Council (MCC) and the State's Lead by Example (PDF) efforts. The MCC released a climate action plan entitled Maine Won’t Wait (PDF) in December 2020. MaineDOT has been actively working to reduce emissions and increase resiliency of infrastructure, in support of the State climate action plan, and has emerged as a leading state agency.
