AUBURN - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and pedestrian safety improvements, including bringing sidewalk curbs into ADA compliance, in Auburn. The work areas include Center Street, Court Street, Rotary Street, Washington Street, and Minot Avenue. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout project areas, with periodic lane closures occurring throughout construction. Sidewalk closures will occur with pedestrian detours in place. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 21st and is anticipated to be completed in November.

ALFRED - The Maine Department of Transportation will be realigning and reconstructing the intersection of Routes 4/202 (Waterboro Road) and Gore Road in Alfred. The southern end of the project area begins at Hazel Dell Apartments and extends 1500' north, ending roughly 300 beyond the American Legion and Fraternal Lodge buildings.

ACTON - The Maine Department of Transportation will be reconstructing a section of Route 109 in Acton. The project area begins 0.60 miles southeast of Sam Page Road and extends northwest 2.21 miles to the New Hampshire State border. This project involves roadway reconstruction and rehabilitation, including drainage and safety improvements. The project will add three-foot, paved shoulders to Route 109 within the project limits. Additionally, a large culvert will be installed where the main tributary to Wilson Lake crosses Route 109. On-site construction activities began in December of 2024.

YARMOUTH - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and pedestrian safety improvements on Routes 1, 88 and 115. The work areas include: Princes Point Road (Route 88) to Falls Bridge over Royal River, Marina Road (Route 115) from Main Street to Route 88, and Route 1 from Portland Street to Forest Drive Falls. Traffic from Marina Drive will be detoured to Route 115. There will be a single lane of alternating traffic on Route 88. Traffic on Route 1 will maintain two lanes where possible.

PITTSFIELD - The Maine Department of Transportation will be closing the southbound side of I-95 near Mile Marker 152 in Pittsfield from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2nd. During this time, crews will work to remove a tractor trailer truck that rolled over on the evening of Monday, March 31st. Southbound traffic should detour using Exit 157 in Newport and utilize Route 100, and Somerset Avenue to Exit 150 in Pittsfield where drivers can reenter I-95. Detour routes will be signed, and digital message boards will be active.

BAR HARBOR - The Maine Department of Transportation is replacing Cromwell Brook Bridge, which carries Ledgelawn Avenue/Great Meadow Drive over the Cromwell Brook located 0.03 miles North of White Spruce Road in Bar Harbor.

On-site clearing operations will begin in early April. This clearing will be necessary in order to construct a temporary detour, which will feature a single-lane of alternating traffic, as well as a sidewalk to facilitate both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This detour will be in operation throughout the project's duration.

MOUNT DESERT - The Maine Department of Transportation is replacing Babson Bridge, which carries Route 3 and Route 198 over Kitteredge Brook located 0.09 miles East of Route 102 in Mount Desert.

TURNER - The Maine Department of Transportation will be reconstructing the intersection of Route 219, Route 4, Bear Pond Road, and Howe's Corner Road in Turner.

This project will convert the current roadway configuration from a skewed, four-way intersection into two, three-legged intersections. This area is a high-crash location. The work will simplify turning and crossing by reconfiguring Route 219 and realigning roadways.

HANCOCK COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation is conducting inspection work on the Deer Isle-Sedgwick Bridge, which carries Route 15 over Eggemoggin Reach between Deer Isle and Sedgwick. This work will impact traffic on the bridge.

Inspection work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 28th and continue through May 16th. During these periods, drivers may encounter single lane closures between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays. No inspection work will occur on Sundays.
