BANGOR - The Maine Department of Transportation will be performing a lane closure on Broadway in Bangor on Thursday, May 15th, and Friday, May 16th. This closure is scheduled to run from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. This closure is required to perform backfilling operations. Broadway traffic will be reduced to a single lane through the work zone. I-95 will not be affected.
On-site construction for this bridge replacement project began in June 2023. This project is a comprehensive, multi-year initiative, involving bridge replacements and intersection enhancements. This project is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
This project was the recipient of approximately $9.3 million in federal funding through a 2020 U.S. DOT INFRA Grant. The contractor on this project is New England Infrastructure, Inc. of Hudson, Massachusetts. The contract amount is $30.6 million
