School Nurses from all sixteen counties in the State of Maine gathered at Sugarloaf Resort in Carrabassett Valley for School Nurse Summer Institute 2026. The theme of this year's conference was Complex Care, Competent Leadership: School Nurses at the Heart of Student Health. This event occurs biennially, is sponsored by the Maine Department of Education, and is planned by the Coordinated School Health Team, along with school nurse volunteers who work in Maine schools.
