Public Meeting to be Held on I-395/Route 9 Connector

Brewer/Eddington/Holden ? The Maine Department of Transportation will conduct an informational meeting regarding on the I-395/Route 9 Connector on Wednesday, July 20th at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Eddington Elementary School located at 440 Main Road (Route 9) in Eddington. While the meeting is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., MaineDOT staff will be available for individual questions before the meeting starting at 5:00 p.m. as well as after the meeting until all individual questions are addressed.

Updated Schedule for I-95 Overnight Milling Operations

Augusta ? Crews continue with milling operations in the overnight hours on I-95 between Augusta and Waterville. The updated schedule is as follows:

Thursday, July 21st:

The entire Exit 109 Interchange will be closed for milling operations from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Select ramps may be opened early as work allows. Particular attention is directed to 109 southbound exits: Exit 109A southbound exit will be closed Thursday night from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Exit 109B southbound off-ramp will remain open.

Union Street Bridge Updated Overnight Schedule

Bangor ? CPM Constructors will be working on Interstate 95 during overnight hours on the Union St. Bridge project over Interstate 95 in Bangor. This work involves closing one lane of traffic on the Interstate to allow for construction to take place safely between the times of 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., or a full interstate closure between the times of 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. northbound and between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. southbound. The current closure schedule for the week of July 24th is as follows:

Sunday, July 24th: The northbound and southbound passing lanes will be closed.

Updated Schedule for Overnight Milling Operations on I-95 in Augusta

Augusta ? There has been an adjustment to the milling operations at Exit 109 in Augusta.

Tonight (Monday, July 25th) as well as Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, crews will be closing Exit 109 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. to continue milling operations.

Exit 109A southbound will remain closed and Exit 109B will remain open.

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zones.

Paving to Begin on Route 1 in Falmouth

Falmouth ? Crews will begin surface paving on Route 1 in Falmouth beginning on Monday, August 1st.

The paving operations will begin at Martin?s Point Bridge to just north of the intersection of Route 1 and Route 88. Paving will take place from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for most of the week.

Motorists are advised to use caution and to expect delays as there will be alternating one-way traffic with flaggers for the length of the project.

Falmouth Route 1 Paving Delayed

Falmouth ? Crews will not begin the surface paving on Route 1 in Falmouth that was to start on Monday, August 1st, due to the forecast of rain.

Weather permitting, the surface paving will begin on Tuesday, August 2nd.

The paving operations will begin at Martin?s Point Bridge to just north of the intersection of Route 1 and Route 88. Paving will take place from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for most of the week.

Brunswick Bridge Inspection to Begin Monday

Brunswick/Topsham ? An inspection on the Frank J. Wood Bridge connecting Brunswick and Topsham is scheduled for Monday, August 1st and Tuesday, August 2nd.

During that time, northbound motorists on Route 201 and Route 24 will be detoured to Route 1 north to Route 196. Southbound traffic will be allowed on the bridge. Traffic will be reopened to both lanes on completion of the inspection each evening.

Intersection Improvements to Begin in Portland?s Stroudwater Area

Portland ? Crews will perform mostly overnight intersection improvements in Portland at the intersection of Congress Street and Westbrook Street, also known as the Stoudwater area, beginning on Wednesday, August 3rd.

The improvements include new foundations, mast arms, signals and curb ramp detectable warning devices.

The exact locations are as follows:

The work on the west end of Westbrook Street is 188ft. from the intersection.

The work on the east end of Westbrook is 140ft. from the intersection.
