Downtown Portland Paving Schedule

Portland ? As the paving continues in the downtown area of Portland, the schedule for the week of 5/23 is as follows:

On Monday, May 23rd, crews will be milling Commercial Street from Dana Street to Franklin Arterial on the ocean side. On Tuesday, paving begins that will periodically impact access to and from the wharves and parking areas (such as Dimillo?s Resturant) for up to an hour and half at a time.

Route 201 to Shutdown on Friday

From the Department of Public Safety:

State Police will be overseeing the removal of a wind turbine tower along Route 201 in Johnson Mountain Township on Friday, about halfway between The Folks and Jackman.

The work will begin at 7 AM and will continue for most of the day. Troopers expect Route 201 to be completely shut down for most of the afternoon as cranes will be used to lift the windmill section onto a trailer.

I-95 Overnight Paving to Begin

Augusta ? Crews will begin overnight paving operations on Interstate 95 in Augusta, Sidney and Waterville beginning on Tuesday, May 31st.

The project will begin on I-95 northbound beginning 0.50 miles south of the Western Avenue overpass at mile marker 109 and extend 16.61 miles northerly to the Webb Road Bridge in Waterville at mile marker 126.

At the same time, I-95 southbound will be paved beginning 0.05 of a mile north of the Trafton Road Overpass at mile marker 126 and extend southerly 6.41 miles to 0.03 of a mile south of the Dinsmore Road overpass at mile marker 118.

Waterville-Winslow Bridge Paving to Begin

Waterville ? Crews will be milling and paving the bridge decks of the Donald Carter Memorial Bridge on Route 137 between Waterville and Winslow as well as the Abenaki Road over the Messalonskee Stream between Route 137 and Route 104 (West River Road) in Waterville beginning on Thursday, June 2nd.

Alternating one-way traffic will occasionally occur during these simultaneous operations. Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays Monday through Friday between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wide loads will be restricted to 12ft.

*Updated* I-295 Overpass Work to Begin in West Gardiner

West Gardiner ? Crews will be replacing concrete headers on the overpass that carries I-295 south over the Cobbosseecontee Stream in West Gardiner beginning today, Monday, June 06.

This daytime work will require a lane closure southbound on the overpass. While one lane will remain open, motorists may experience slight delays.

Following the completion of the overpass work, crews will perform under-bridge maintenance activities until Friday, June 17th.

All work on the overpass is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, June 7th.

Road Work to Begin in Gray and Gorham

Gray/Gorham ? Beginning on Thursday, June 9th, crews will be crack sealing and fog sealing Route 26A in Gray and parts of Route 112 in Gorham.

In Gray, the crack and fog sealing will begin at the intersection of Route 202 and Route 26A, and extend northerly for approximately 1.1 miles.

In Gorham, the crack and fog sealing will begin at the intersection of Route 112 and Route 114, and extend northerly for approximately 3.2 miles to the intersection with Route 25.
