Monticello ? Crews will be paving in the towns of Monticello, Bridgewater and Blaine beginning on Friday, May 15th.
The paving project will begin approximately 300ft. south of the Fullerton Road in Monticello and extend northerly for 8.78 miles, ending .08 of a mile north of the Griffin Road in Blaine.
Alternating one-way traffic will be controlled by flaggers. Motorists should expect delays of up to five minutes with multiple closures possible throughout the project area. All work will be performed Monday through Friday with the occasional Saturday.
Work includes milling out the old pavement and repaving with hot mix asphalt. Certain sections of shoulders will also be repaved. In addition, two frost heaves will be repaired, including a cross pipe replacement prior to the paving work.
It is anticipated all work will be completed by the end of July, 2015.
Lane Construction Corp. of Presque isle will perform this $2.4 million project.
