MaineDOT to Continue Safety Improvements along I-295 in Freeport
Freeport ? Starting Monday, October 5th, 2015, crews will begin the final phase of the brush and tree clearing, in preparation for seeding, along the interstate corridor in Freeport. This phase will consist of the grinding of stumps below grade and the removal of the remaining debris, leaving a smooth surface suitable for seeding. The work will occur just south of the Exit 22 and extend north for approximately 4 miles. It will result in temporary shoulder and ramp closures, and all work will occur between 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
