The Maine Department of Transportation and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation announce that Market Street in Portsmouth, NH will have temporary lane closures starting on December 29th to start constructing the causeways for the Sarah Mildred Long Bridge Replacement Project.
These will be single lane closures that should have minor impact on traffic with minimal delays. This work will result in ongoing lane closures as they construct the causeways and temporary trestles. The work on the existing bridge is expected to last approximately three weeks. The causeway and trestle work will be ongoing.
Utility work will be ongoing to facilitate relocation of the intersection of Bridge Street in Kittery.
